Cromwell Hospital are proud to take part in the Patient-Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) Programme. Our PLACE assessment results allow us to continually improve our services for the benefit of our patients.
We are delighted to have received a total average of 99.15%, the highest average score across all UK hospitals, including the independent sector, who took part. We also scored 100% for Food, Organisation Food, and Ward Food.
PLACE assessments are an annual appraisal of the non-clinical aspects of NHS and independent healthcare settings, undertaken by teams made up of staff and local members of the public (known as patient assessors). The team must include a minimum of two patient assessors, making up at least 50 per cent of the group.
The assessments involve patient assessors visiting hospitals to assess things such as the facility’s cleanliness, food and hydration provision, privacy and dignity, and how a facility is able to meet the needs of people with dementia or a disability.
Congratulations to our Cromwell PLACE team and all of our staff for their hard work.
