Respiratory conditions we treat
Our respiratory medicine department treats a range of conditions affecting the lungs and airways, including asthma, allergies, lung disease and more.
What is a respiratory condition?
A respiratory condition is any illness that affects the lungs, airways and other associated structures, often causing symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain and wheezing.
Respiratory conditions include common illnesses such as asthma, chest infections and allergies, as well as things like lung cancer, sleep disorders and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). These conditions may be referred to under the umbrella term ‘lung disease’.
