Mr Fabian Norman-Taylor

Mr Norman-Taylor trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital London, qualifying as a doctor in 1988. He worked in London until 1993 when he passed the Fellowship examinations for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He then spent 5 years in East Anglia,including a year of research at Cambridge University, and passed the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The years 1999 and 2000 were spent in Melbourne and Toronto, where he specialised in children’s orthopaedics. His first consultant job was in Bristol at the Royal Hospital for Children. He moved back to London in 2003.

He has published in peer reviewed journals on children’s orthopaedics, and presented to learned societies. He teaches at membership and fellowship level for the Royal College examinations. He has been a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) grant holder and chief investigator for a double-blind randomised placebo controlled trial.

Mr Norman-Taylor is also an Educational supervisor (ES) for the London School of Surgery and Principal Investigator for multicentre trials, supported by grants from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR).
