About Dr Sofia Cavill
She is described by her patients as being effortless in navigating complex medical conditions, showing exceptional professionalism and knowledge, coordinating seamlessly with a multi-disciplinary team of experienced specialists who she works closely with and GPs to ensure the most comprehensive care for her patients. Dr Cavill prides herself in providing a personalised approach to treating her patients and their families. Her specialty focuses on holistic care for adults with complex medical conditions, polypharmacy with a special interest in preventative medicine, chronic fatigue, frailty and aging.
Dr Cavill was previously the Department Lead for the Ambulatory Emergency Care Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Her leadership in the role led to the launch of the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) service at CWH. Her experience has given her the skills to arrange urgent diagnostics and specialised treatment early, whilst able to coordinate patients care across multiple specialists seamlessly across the NHS and Private Practice, whilst being the continuity throughout the patient’s journey. She was also previously the Clinical Lead for the Sepsis Working Group at CWH.
In 2022, Dr Cavill was also the Lead for the highly successful Covid Medicine Delivery Unit (CMDU) for North West London, which was the top performing CMDU in the UK, as featured on the BBC, responsible for delivering life-saving treatments to patients.
She completed a Clinical Fellowship in Acute Frailty and Geriatric Medicine at University College London Hospital in the earlier years of her career, where she became a member of one of the UK’s first frailty service in an Acute Medical Unit. She went on to receive a full scholarship from UCLH to complete an MSc in Gerontology at King's College London.
