About Dr Maciej Marciniak

Dr Maciej Marciniak trained at St George's and St Thomas' Hospitals, where he undertook comprehensive training in all aspects of adult general cardiology with a sub-specialty interest in coronary intervention (angioplasty). He has a full-time clinical commitment in adult cardiology which includes diagnostic cardiac catheterisation, and coronary angioplasty, as well as implantation of permanent pacemakers.

Dr Marciniak is an experienced cardiologist, having performed more than 1,000 angioplasties. He is currently leading complex angioplasty and CTO (chronic total occlusion) programmes at East Surrey Hospital.

Dr Marciniak was welcoming from the get go. He was extremely thorough, patient and understanding throughout the entire consultation. I was not rushed and was given the opportunity to explain my symptoms from start to finish, and made me feel listened to. He ensured I understood everything which was explained to me, allowed me to ask questions and explained the next steps clear and concisely. For some, being within a hospital setting can be daunting but Dr Marciniak makes it the total opposite.

Very comfortable and detail consultation . After reading dr Marciniak’s letter I was surprised with a statement that I drunk more than one glass of wine a day . I said I usually drink just one or nine glass of wine a day . If I go out I may have more… Dr Marciniak also suggested that I should attend an appointment I have arranged in East Surrey on the 18 th of June. I also have not agreed to CT scan yet . I initially had booked an appt. with Richard Allen whom I had seen previously but this was cancelled as I was told Mr Allen had left Gatwick Park. I was therefore offered an appt with Dr. Marciniak whom I did not know but - I did not have to worry. Dr. Marciniak was very kind, attentive, listened to what I had to say & gave me plenty of time for my appointment. I did not feel rushed at all. He clearly explained what he wanted to convey & followed it up with a letter sent via email within 4 working days confirming the details of our conversation. I was happy overall with Dr, Marciniak & wouldn't hesitate to see him again or recommend him to my friends & acquaintances. I do appreciate that his time is very precious & thanked him for in seeing me.
