About Mr Neil Barber
Mr Neil Barber is a consultant urological surgeon at Cromwell Hospital, specialising in minimally invasive treatments for enlarged prostate.
Mr Barber has a wealth of experience in treating all urological conditions, including prostate cancer, urinary tract infections, prostatitis, peno-scrotal conditions, and fertility, including vasectomy and vasectomy reversal.
He has a special interest in waterworks symptoms, particularly in men experiencing enlarged prostate (BPH). Mr Barber was instrumental in introducing several new leading-edge treatments to NHS England, including the GreenLight laser in 2002, Urolift in 2014, and Aquablation and iTind in 2019.
Beyond this, Mr Barber also specialises in kidney disorders, including renal cancer. He is experienced in performing advanced and complex robotic assisted surgery utilising the latest technology, including the da Vinci Xi system.
Mr Barber has been involved in numerous national, European, and global studies. Additionally, he is recognised as a Key Opinion Leader and is a clinical advisor to both industry and NICE.
He is Clinical Lead for Urology at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Consultant Urological Surgeon at Frimley Park Hospital, and Director of the Frimley Renal Cancer Centre and the Frimley Benign Prostate Clinical Research Centre.
