Miss Beth Cartwright

Miss Beth Cartwright is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with her NHS practice based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Her clinical interests are general and acute gynaecology (including period problems, pelvic pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts, coil insertion and removal, menopause) and early pregnancy. She is proficient at scanning in both gynaecology and early pregnancy.

Beth completed her undergraduate studies at Cambridge University and Imperial College London, where she gained distinction in several areas including Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She completed her postgraduate training in South London, and during this time obtained a research MD at King’s College London in the subject of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, written chapters for textbooks, and given prize-winning national and international presentations. She joined the GMC specialist register for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2018 and has worked as a consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital since then.

Beth is the lead for the Early Pregnancy Unit and Acute Gynaecology at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She is actively involved in teaching and training and was nominated for the RCOG trainer of the year award in 2024. She has a focus on patient safety and is the gynaecology Clinical Governance Lead for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Beth offers an empathetic and down to earth approach to all women seeking help with early pregnancy and gynaecological problems. She understands the importance of reassurance and working together where a treatment plan is needed and has a calm professional manner. She offers gynaecological scanning and able to provide a one-stop service for many gynaecological problems.
