About Dr Emma Salisbury

Dr Emma Salisbury was appointed Consultant Nephrologist at Imperial College Renal & Transplant Centre, Hammersmith Hospital, London in 2016. She is lead for young adult care and works closely with paediatric colleagues at Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.

Dr Salisbury is experienced in all aspects of general nephrology (including glomerular disease, hypertension and renovascular disease) and both acute and chronic renal failure. Her particular interest is renal transplantation and she was awarded a PhD by Imperial College London in 2013 following 3 years of research in transplant immunology.

Dr Salisbury qualified in medicine (MBChB) with Honours from the University of Edinburgh in 2004 and achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007. All her nephrology training was completed in London where she is now lives with her family and four children.
