About Mr Jonathan Collier

Mr Collier trained in medicine at Cambridge then Oxford and did dentistry (with a PhD) at Queen Mary University London.

He is the principal orthognathic surgeon in the department of craniofacial surgery at Chelsea and Westminster where he is also a core member of the specialist multi-disciplinary group treating cancerous skin lesions. He is an invited faculty on a number of specialist courses, has a number of research interests and is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons.

He is a surgeon with the medical charity Facing The World and lives in central London with his wife and three children.

I am 50 years old and had double jaw surgery with Mr Collier. He was recommended to me by a top orthognathic surgeon who used to work with Mr Collier. Mr Collier gave me all the information I needed in a clear, precise and caring manner in advance of the surgery. He planned the bespoke surgery meticulously. The surgery went very well and my recovery is going smoothly. I consider that Mr Collier is an extremely skilled surgeon and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to do this surgery.

Amazing experience from beginning to end. Mr Collier put me, and my family, at ease from the beginning. Taking the time to carefully explain my options, and what the outcome of those options would be - including any potential side effects. I cannot fault him or his team pre-, during or post surgery. Following an accident resulting in a seriously fractured jaw my GP recommended Mr Collier as a top Maxillofacial surgeon. I cannot speak highly enough about the kindness and professionalism shown by Jonathan and nurse Michelle. I opted for the placement of intermaxillary traction screws into the upper and lower jaw with elastic traction. The procedure was carried out under local anaesthesia and whilst daunting in prospect, the procedure, and removal of screws some four weeks later was painless and the result successful. I felt very confident and reassured by Jonathan’s expertise and professionalism. Highly recommended.
