About Mr Kyle James

Mr Kyle James is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Cromwell Hospital, specialising in paediatric orthopaedic surgery.

Mr James graduated from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Medical Schools in 2002, completing his orthopaedic training in London before undergoing two fellowships in paediatric orthopaedics at Beit CURE International Hospital, Malawi, and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australia.

He began his career as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at The Royal London Hospital in 2013, before moving to Malawi to work as an orthopaedic surgeon and medical director at the Beit CURE International Hospital. Following four years in this role, he returned to the UK and was appointed to his current post of orthopaedic consultant at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton.

Mr James’ practice covers all aspects of paediatric orthopaedic surgery. He strongly believes in ensuring all treatment options, both non-operative and operative, are carefully evaluated and explained to patients and their families.

Since 2014, Mr James has been an honorary senior lecturer on the Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences programme at Queen Mary University of London. He remains a keen supporter of global orthopaedic surgery and continues to be heavily involved in training and improving orthopaedic surgical provision in Africa.
