Dr Papageorgiou is a highly accomplished cardiologist with extensive expertise in clinical practice, research, and academia. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) and (PhD) degrees at Athens University Medical School in Greece, followed by specialised training in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology in prestigious centres, such as the Heart Hospital/UCLH and the St Bartholomew's Hospital.
Dr Papageorgiou holds an Honorary Associate Professorship at the University College London (UCL), contributing to the advancement of cardiovascular science and education. He has published >200 papers and he has >100 presentations in international conferences. He has made significant contributions to the understanding and management of cardiovascular diseases. His research endeavors have garnered substantial funding and recognition from prestigious organisations, including the European Society of Cardiology.
