Dr Rajdeep Khattar

Dr Khattar graduated from University of Southampton Medical School and went on to perform his MD thesis and specialist training in cardiology in Northwest London. This included three years of clinical research in the fields of cardiovascular imaging, ischaemic heart disease, hypertension and heart failure, followed by comprehensive training in both advanced echocardiography and percutaneous coronary intervention. He has been working as a Consultant Cardiologist for over ten years, previously at Manchester Heart Centre and now at The Royal Brompton Hospital, London.

He has extensive expertise in stress and contrast echocardiography, trans-oesophageal echocardiography, 3-D echocardiography, coronary angiography and stent implantation. He continues to actively participate in clinical research and holds an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer position with Imperial College, London. He has numerous publications on a broad range of cardiological conditions and a particular interest in coronary heart disease and valve disease. In recognition of his achievements, he has gained fellowships of the Royal College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and European Society of Cardiology.
