About Mr Tarek El Shamy

Mr Tarek El Shamy is a highly skilled Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist practising at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. With a wealth of experience, he specialises in complex obstetric surgery, early cancer diagnostics, and various aspects of gynaecological surgery.

Prior to his current position, Mr El Shamy served as a Locum Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, where he focused on emergency gynaecology, urogynaecology, and vaginal surgery. He completed his medical education at prestigious institutions such as Cairo University, where he obtained his MB BCh degree, and the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, where he earned his MRCOG qualification. Additionally, he pursued further studies at Cardiff University, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Gynaecological Ultrasound, and at the University of Dundee, where he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
