About Dr Ziad Farah

Dr Ziad Farah is a Consultant in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. He works at Northwick Park Hospital as part of London Northwest University Trust, and privately at the Cromwell Hospital. He is experienced in all aspects of adult rheumatology and general internal medicine. The central focus of his practice is providing patients with excellent, holistic, compassionate care that is evidence-based and effective. He is a firm believer in forming partnerships with patients based on respect, honesty and accountability. Patient feedback has highlighted that he cares for his patients, is a good listener and excellent communicator.

Dr Farah undertook his undergraduate medical training at University College London (UCL) where he completed a BSc in Physiology in 2007 with First-class honours and received the Dean’s list award for his achievement in physiology research. He completed his medical degree in 2010 with distinction, received 6 awards and was runner up for the University of London Gold medal. He then completed his postgraduate medical and rheumatology training across North and West London at leading institutions including Imperial College Trust, Northwick Park Hospital and Royal London Hospital.

Dr Farah completed a post graduate degree in medical education from the Royal College of Physicians and UCL and he continues to be active in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He is the lead for undergraduate rheumatology training for Imperial University students at Northwick Park hospital. He has published over 25 publications in peer reviewed journals and presented in over 20 national and international medical conferences.

In his NHS role, Dr Farah is a substantive consultant in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine at London Northwest University Trust. He runs a dedicated early inflammatory arthritis clinic at Northwick Park Hospital alongside his general rheumatology clinics. He also looks after inpatients with complex medical presentations, and he leads a team of doctors managing acute patients attending the Emergency Ambulatory Care unit. In 2020, he received a Clinical Excellence Award in recognition for the quality of care he provides his patients.
