Cromwell Hospital are delighted to be awarded the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) and receive five out of five, the highest score available.
The MQEM award recognises and celebrates environments that meet the standards required by people living with cancer. The award champions cancer environments that go above and beyond to create welcoming and friendly spaces for patients. MQEM has been designed in collaboration with people living with cancer.
MQEM assesses four main areas of a cancer service or environment including design and use of space, user’s journey, service experience, and user’s voice.
The award is externally assessed by an independent quality assurance agency and renewed every three years. We are pleased to have had the award renewed in 2025 and to receive an outstanding five out five outcome.
Heather Lawrence, Modern Matron (Oncology), commented: “We are delighted to have received the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark again and be awarded five out of five. This award reflects the ongoing commitment of the hospital to ensure that every oncology patient receives the highest standards of care. Thank you to the team for their support and commitment to our patients.”
